VSH would like to give special thanks to all of the participants in the October 13th Bull Run Park Trail Ride in Manassas, Virginia. It was a beautiful day and the young horses were exemplary!!
Present for the "nurturing" ride were a large group of VSH alumnae, including many coming 3 and 4 year olds. We know that there are a few of you out there with young horses who could have benefited from a ride like this and we hope to see you next time.
Whether you have a young VSH horse who could use the experience of a quiet, low stress ride in company with some super quiet leaders, have a rising 4 year old working on cantering with a group, crossing creeks etc, or would like to see for yourself if the VSH horses are as well behaved in the field as we say they are, you are invited to join us!! The more the merrier!!
L-R: Selene, a grey pony from Chris Collies' barn, VSH Rumble, Navarro (standing in front of Legally Blonde), Titan, Seamus, Blossom (formerly Reika), Galahad, Glyniss, Alex (formerly Splash), Quinn (formerly Tacoma). Missing: Liz and Lakota..oh well...someone had to take the picture!
It was also a reunion of sorts for the owners of siblings (Quinn (Tacoma), Blossom (Reika) and Hairt) meeting for the first time...while Quinn and Blossom get reacquainted.
It was a celebration for Andrea Brownstein and family, with mom and dad doing exceptionally well riding two 3 year old, 17H horses, Navarro and Glyniss. Both riders and horses rode well and in control - an amazing feat considering it was Glyniss' second ride after returning from only 30 days training.
It was also an exciting day for new owner Meg Balzer as it was Titan's (her 3 year old, 17.2H Clyde cross) first official public outing (pictured here with "old hand" Seamus).
