Else was born May 23rd, 2010. She is sired by VSH Shaman and out of Maritina, both VSH Signature Crosses. She is AWS Eligible. Else is a medium sized,  substantial filly built much like her dam. She will be athletic and should finish about 15.1H.

4/2/14 update: Else is in Mystic Connecticut with trainer Rebecca Starr, she is in training and there to be sold on consignment. Currently being ridden 3x/wk, she is solid at the fundamentals of both hunter and dressage style training. She jumps 2'6" courses, has autolead changes and can execute basic movements like turn on the forehand and shoulder-in. This is an UBER OBEDIENT MARE, who accepts training rapidly and has 100% retention. Suitable for an advanced beginner, quiet and safe enough for a child or beginner to ride in lessons. Trail rides alone or in company, good with traffic, prepped for fox hunting and ready to go out on her first low key hunt. She is available to see in Connecticut through the first week of May and if not sold will return to Virginia. Contact Liz for details or an appt 804.514.0595.

She is further along in her training than what is depicted in this video, but this is what we have at the moment:

1/3/14 update: Else is just awesome! Typical Signature Cross, just in a compact package. She can be pulled from pasture on a cold winter day with a storm rolling in and hacked out alone or with company, in traffic and does not care about hounds. She is ready to start hunting, eventing or would make a really good and sensible endurance horse. Two thumbs up for this sweet and uncomplicated mare.

11/2/12 update: This filly will make a great hunter under saddle. She has the most fluid gaits and is nicely forward, 100% willing and obedient. We took her on a trail ride today to meet the hounds at the end of our lane and she was just great.

first introduction to hounds

9/23/12 update: Back from the trainer's and into our program. What a quiet, docile, sweetheart. Very obediant and uncomplicated.

8/28/12 update: Doing well at the trainer's. Going w,t,c under saddle and hacking out.

8/5/12 update: This is a gorgeous filly that visitors to the farm dont remember having seen on the site...guessing her pictures dont match her beauty in person. She is sweet and easygoing, a typical signature cross and one of our last 3 2010 foal crop (only Else, Booker and Midnight Serenade are left). Our trainer arrives from Ohio tomorrow and Else gets started along with the others mentioned above and then heads back to Ohio for an additional 30 days. Last chance to get this nice filly at a low price....

11/18/2011 update: Just returned from visiting Else and her pasturemates on the SC farm. She continues to mature into a beautiful and friendly filly. Else should finish about 16 - 16.1 hands and have the same gentle, accepting nature, and unflappable temperament for which our signature crosses are known. This is a very nice filly who will be similar in type to Shaman, Charisma, Forte (our Steal the Chance), My Hopes and Dreams, Kolby, Perry (Chaucer), Dare to Dream, Warlock, Brogan and Dash of name a FEW... Look these horses up on the site on our Customer Comments on our Clydesdale Cross pages to see the numerous acheivements and accolades from their owners.

We have a rather unscrupulous small scale competitor here in Virginia whose modus operendi includes masquerading as a consumer on bulletin boards and she once commented that our signature crosses were "just draft crosses"...she could not have been more wrong...and they continue to prove this everyday.

6/30/11 update: Else has really grown up and her personality is really starting to come out. She has the same temperament and demeanor as Shaman, Dash of Class and Charisma....just a quiet, kind, people pleasing type...quick learner...just what drew us to the Signature cross years ago and what we hope for in our foals each year.

4/28/11 update: Visited Else on the SC where she is growing up. She is becoming a friendly filly and is really very pretty. Looking so much like an amalgamation of Charisma, Maritina and Shaman. One of our few remaining signature crosses.
