Good Time IV is a Hanoverian/TB cross, registered with the CSHA (Canadian Sport Horse Assn). He is microchipped for identification purposes. His sire is Gringo (Hanoverian) and his dam is Madonna II. Both Gringo and Madonna are over 17H. Madonna is a gorgeous Dun, 3/4TB 1/4 Clydesdale. Good Time is a VERY TALL gelding...standing over 16H. He is very, correct and handsome.
2010 registered Canadian Sport Horse by Gringo [ Gallipoli] out of Madonna. Madonna is the mother of Mr. Sandman and Sundown. Gallipoli had many Year End Hunter Awards both in Canada with Spruce Meadows as well as the USA with Peter Pletcher. Mr. Sandman won 4 little jumpers classes at Caledonia in 2010, including the little Jumper Special . He was also competitive in the low Hunters..Good Time will be a big horse with a great attitude and lots of "eye appeal".
6/17/12 update: Good Time is a very naturally balanced horse and is a very fancy mover, with a comfortable uphill canter. He does 20 meter circles at the trot and canter in the arena and is responsive to the riders aids.
6/4/12 update: This handsome, elegant fellow just continues to amaze us with his winning combo of stellar temperament, movement, athleticism, eyecatching good looks and sensible nature riding out. NICE HORSE!!!
5/2/12 update: Quiet enough for ANY rider to hack out or school around the arena safely, best dressage prospect on the farm! Great natural extension and suspension, good articulation in his hocks! He is a beauty!
4/4/12 update: The trainer says that "Good Time is AMAZING". Can't wait to have him home next week!!
3/8/12 update: Headed out to start 30 days professional training this week.
When he stepped off the trailer along with 16 other horses, a trainer watching immediately asked what I wanted for him... He is a standout and will make a super fox hunter. His color is listed as Dun on his papers, but right now he has a winter coat and its difficult to see whether he is still Dun or turning grey. This horse is a big Teddy Bear.
Note:
Although I am never one to get pissy over details...it bears explanation....
there are a lot of horses out there that are referred to as Canadian Sport Horses...you will see these referred to on my website as "Canadian-bred Sport Horses"...this gelding is registered with the Canadian Sport Horse Association which is a registry which registers warmblood horses of European lineage in Canada, similar to the AWR..American Warmblood REGISRTY in the US. We also have the AWS, American Warmblood Society which is a registry for both warmbloods of European and American (draft cross) descent.
If so desired, Good Time could also be inspected and registered with both the AWS and the AWR along with several other warmblood/sport horse registries.
