Born May 25, 2012, Strauss is a Reg CSHA Hanoverian cross by Son of a Gun, a Hanoverian Stallion who goes back to the legendary Sandro (Holsteiner). Strauss' dam, Dolce Quinn is a grey 17H Hanoverianx by Dol Savirt the grey 17H Hanoverian once competed by Peter Pletcher. Strauss is tall and very friendly. Strauss is a half brother to a colt that we sold last year, Quintox. Strauss has only Hanoverian and TB in his pedigree going back 4 generations. but has the lovely temperament of a Sport Horse with draft in the ancestry (as all do).

3/23/16 update: Tall, handsome, kind, sensible and uncoplicated fellow. Fully prepped for foxhunting, would also make a super hunter, dressage or event prospect. Great all-rounder.

1/12/15 update: Strauss goes quietly and frames up naturally. Very sensible, tractable, trainable, personable and talented gelding/

9/24/14 update: Started 30 days professional training today! Cant wait to get him home!!!

3/2814 update: Gorgeous horse who is a 10 mover and talented natural jumper. Quality gelding.

11/26/13 update: What a friendly and handsome gelding, quality prospect.

9/20/13 update: Coming into himself at just 16months... standing over 15H, string tests to 17H. Beautifully shimmery seal brown color...I can see why the breeders though him to be grey..but I am guessing that he will keep his shimmery brown color. Nice temperament, very sensible.

6/23/13 update: Bringing Strauss and his "gang of colts" in this week to photograph, evaluate as stallion prospects.

4/7/13 update: Dont have a great picture of this colt and Im not racing to get one ;) Hope he stays around and we get to start him under saddle. I have sold many of his siblings literally as soon as they returned from training at 24 months. I have received numerous glowing reviews and updates from the owner of his sibling Quintox and I am sure that if someone interested in this colt wanted a reference, she would be thrilled to provide it.
